COGdesign needs qualified volunteer landscape designers, landscape architects, landscape historians, horticulturists, and other landcare professionals.
Practicing designers who volunteer for COGdesign projects become involved in challenging, interesting, community projects that offer offer field experience, portfolio material, and job satisfaction. Student designers get the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals on projects that offer an actual client, a timeline, and budget restrictions.
Some larger community projects are suitable for studio projects or student independent thesis projects. We welcome inquiries from landscape design instructors and students.
COG designers are supported through occasional design review sessions for working designers. These design reviews are facilitated by experienced landscape architects and designers and are attended by other designers seeking to share challenges, ideas, and support.
If you are interested in working as a COG designer, please contact us. We will add you to our distribution list of designers to which we send notification of new projects in need of designers. You can also read our Designer FAQ.
