King Street Park (imagined to renamed Denita Morris Hope Park) is a transformation of an existing park site into a place of healing and hope that is both community-embedded and a destination for all those affected by suicide across Massachusetts. Designed as a safe refuge and restorative garden, the park offers views of the Boston Cityline. Elements include public art sculpture, native plants that enhance life and biodiversity, and a path that promotes slowing down and reflection. Our community partner is using the initial concept towards fundraising and site development discussions with the Boston Parks and Recreation Department.
