COGdesign runs on an annual cycle:
- November Call for Designers
- December COG matches designers in teams to new projects and brings in a shepherd, who functions as a tacit project manager and liaison to the office
- January initial site visits with design teams and clients
- February design work and community meetings begin
- March & April Design Reviews for COG community
- June most projects completed — designers deliver final schematic drawings to clients
- July clients and designers fill out project evaluations
- August analysis of project data, closure letters sent to clients
- September Annual Project Showcase to which all are invited
