Designers

Are you interested in helping to build green spaces that promote the health and well being of local communities?

COGdesign works with landscape designers and landscape architects who value an authentic participatory design process. COG designers are paired with community groups who are looking for assistance in designing green spaces in their neighborhoods.

What are the benefits of volunteering with COGdesign?

Designers who volunteer for COGdesign projects become involved in community-led projects that offer field experience, media exposure, portfolio material, and job satisfaction. Student designers get the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals on projects that involve meeting a timeline and budget. COG designers are supported through peer review sessions by experienced landscape architects and designers seeking to share ideas, challenges, and support.

"Thanks so much! When they [landscape architecture firm] looked at my portfolio, they were most interested in the Bunker Hill Playground project because most of their work is at the same community scale. I am very grateful to COG for having given me the opportunity."
